Listening to Rainstorms
The first single off of Sigur Ros's new album is called Saeglópur and it's out now on itunes. Can't wait to see them in concert for their US tour. This post can have nothing to do with advertising or it has everything to do with it. I just wanted to share the interview below from a Sigur Ros fan named Rymer who started listening to them when he was 4. (he's now 6)
There's a certain beauty in his answers. A beauty that makes you want to see the world through the eyes of a child again.
What were you listening to when you were that age? I just can't help but be amazed at how Sigur Ros's music can transcend all ages and all ranges of interest.
On a similar note, I remember I saw a billboard campaign once in LA that aimed to create greater awareness for poetry. They featured all the well-known poets but
there was one that stood out so much that it has stayed with me till this day. It was
written by a 6 year old kid and it went like this:
My heart is a tree and it needs some wind.

When Jónsi sings like his heart is broken
That brought me to tears... such a simple answer, but I never could have given it! It's exactly what I like best! My heart aches!
