WaMu's Occasio

Picture_4_2

While other banks are designing their banks to look sleek and modern, WaMu is turning their banks into something different.  They got rid of the 12 inch glass panel in front of the tellers and there's even a concierge. Not sure what the customers think of the new design or even the frightened tellers.  WaMu actually patented the design for their banks and it's called, Occasio.  Click the image above to read more.  Personally, I think with the beige carpet and color type on the walls, it reminds me of a kindergarden classroom.  Maybe it just looks odd in a city like New York but it could work in the west coast. But I have to say, it's much better than what most other banks have now where you go up to the teller and you feel like one of you is in prison.

Here's a bad snapshot.

I work at an occasio branch. It is the best idea ever. from a tellers stand point it is less like a prison for us. It also makes our balancing a lot more accurate. I will ever work at a tradition branch again
